Richard was born and educated in Morecambe and then studied for a degree at the University of Manchester.
He is a qualified accountant and Managing Director of a the family business Chris Bowker Ltd, which was started by his parents.
He is married with two children.
Julia grew up in Lancaster and attended Lancaster Girls’ Grammar School. After university she trained as a solicitor at one of Lancashire’s leading law firms, working in Preston and Blackburn. Upon qualification as a solicitor she worked in private practice in Manchester for a number of years.before moving back to the area to work at Lancaster University’s Research and Enterprise Services, advising on a range of research contracts. She now works as a lawyer in local government advising on contracts, grant agreements and general legal matters. Outside of work she volunteers with the Friends of Lancaster City Museum.
Kirstie is married to the nephew of the benefactor of the charity. Originally from Glasgow she moved to Morecambe in 1988 to join the police and retired in September 2018 having completed 30 years service. She is active in the local community and is Chair of a Primary School Governing Body as well as being involved in a number of faith based charities both at a local and national level.
Fiona worked for over 25 years for local and national charities, with a particular interest in supporting the small and local. For the past 6 years, she has run the bookstall at the Assembly Rooms in Lancaster and has lived and worked in the city for most of the past 30+ years.
